what's this
I take loads of photos and they all get dumped into my flickr photostream. When I have uploaded all the pictures from a night they get grouped into a set and linked into this site. Watch flickr to see the photos as soon as they become available and also for all the snaps I take inbetween nights out. There is a life beyond partys you know...

...about my portfolio
I try to be open about my creative processes - I don't filter my photo's much - only if they are really badly exposed, out of focus or somehow obviously wrong. I am always surprised about what people like, and of course photographic styles and fashions change. Needless to say you may well find a photo of yourself and you may not like it (being, as we are, our own worse critics). I will, upon request, remove a photo if you really don't like it. But I'd rather not :-)
...the list
- Glastonbury: Last Man Standing, 24th June 2007 - Through the mud and rain Last Man Standing came to blow you all away with Whiskey and noise.
- Glastonbury: Fatboy Slim - 24th June 2007 - When Fatboy Slim dropped by the Lost Vagueness Ballroom to do an unannounced set, who should be on hand with a camera?
Aye, thats right kids. You've guessed it! - Glastonbury: Beth n Phoebe get ready - 23rd June 2007 - I caught up with Lost Vagueness Changing Room stars Beth and Phoebe as they finished showering in the luxury of the trailer park, after that it was only natural that I should photograph them getting ready for their evening shift. A rare sunny afternoon midst the mud of Glasto which, as circumstances persuaded, demanded a midday nap - ahh, luxury and bliss.
- Glastonbury: Wet n Dry - 20-24th June 2007 - It all started with so much promise, lovely hard packed earth and actual grass visible in places. But then, well, you know the story... Rain + People = Churned Mud. Oh dear.
Anyways, here's a short series of portraits from around the festival charting that progression. Curiously, I became obsessed with a certain type of raincoat... can you tell? - Before Encore 2 - 14th June 2007 - snippy snap - I'm no pap - but I love to get up close and personal. And here's the results of such intimate endevours at John Lee Birds Before Encore 2. It was a hot night for sure be all had a gas - ain't that just the way its supposed to be now. Enjoy.
- Aphrodisiacs - 25th May 2007 -
- Lucha Britannia - 26 April 2007 - As ever the fantastic Lucha Britannia at Bethnal Green Working Mens Club. One day I'll do a proper write up about this night... but for now, photos!
- Mobile Clubbing - 04 April 2007 - what is this? Look here...
www.mobile-clubbing.com/ - Lucha Britannia - 21st March 2007 -
- Club Indulgence - 10th March 2007 - If you like a good dance party, then Club Indulgence could be your ticket - no frills, good crowd, great music. Thats it! Perfect.
They're also looking for a new venue (because the management at the last one sucked - in my opinion) so we, at KissMyPanties.com, are really looking forward to the next one. As ever, keep watching me web for details.
See ya there.... - Devine Burlesque Launch Party - 3rd March 2007 - A collection of photos from backstage in the dressing rooms as performers and crew get ready for the Devine Burlesque Launch Party.
- The Valentines Day Massacre - 17th February 2007 - It was a night to love or be loved or both. All the right ingredients were present; fabulous bands, amazing acts, gorgeous punters, wild nuns and possibly the largest collection of my ex's ever gathered together in one space.
Scary really. - Horseplay - 3rd February 2007 - Did you ride the horse? Well don't worry if you didn't; KissMyPanties did it for ya. Aren't we just the best. Here's what we saw.
God help our souls... - Lucha Britannia - 25th January 2007 - Sexy Y Violencia! Four matches of hardcore lucha wrestling madness fused with cabaret siniestro. Enter the retro futureverse!
In conversation with event organiser Gary Vanderhorne I discovered that this more than just a show. Its a story of political resistance, heroic warriors, an underground movement - set in a world 30 years from now. A world dominated by global political rule - where emotion, expression, freedom and right to be oneself is quelled and controlled by an oppressive superpower - the new world order. Come to Lucha Britannia and you both experience and become the story. The nexus where politics and entertainment meet. Lucha Britannia breaks the silence enforced through oppression. The time is right - and the next time is 21st March at The Bethnal Green Working Mens Club.
Spread the word my friends. Fight for your rights. Be there. - The Prince and The Pauper - 31st December 2006 - As the last scraps of 2006 were quickly devoured and the first of 2007 were delivered mewling and puking into this world, a loose band of neer do wells gathered just south of the river and, dressing like the people that time forgot, had a good old knees up mother brown with father time lurking somewhere about the place. Happy New Year from the Lost Vagueness crowd everybody.
Prints of these photos can also be bought online here. Get em while they're steam hot folks! - Deathline - 13th November 2006 - Rock duo Deathline have been hitting the London scene recently, so yours truly hopped on the early bus to get all the action as they sound checked, drank, smoked, broke strings, did their makeup, posed and, eventually, played a gig.
Trying to be all arty and shit I put away the flash for some shots, and even did some black and white ones. Wow, I rock too. I'm gonna' do laps, basically, after that.
No lines were harmed in the making of these pics. - The Bloomsbury Ball - 12th December 2006 - LV Events are proving to be quite the event planners de riguer and for 1500 party peeps at this years Bloomsbury Ball they laid on quite a show. Such sights, sounds and pleasures to be had. Why, knock me down with a feather duster if it wasn't quite a jolly fine night.
- Arts Council Xmas Party - 28th November 2006 - As well as putting on some of the finest partys around, Lost Vagueness also do a sweet line in corporate do's. Here's some snappets from the Arts Councils Xmas bash deep underneath London Bridge station in the swanky secludedness of Shunt. Its the Arts... and the Council... together... feel it!
- Skandalous - 17th November 2006 - A night of drum n bass, bands, and transsexual pole dancing badgers. It’s like that sometimes Whitechapel way. And though KissMyPanties was on a night off, I couldn’t resist snapping just one or two shots… sigh – addicted to that camera am I. It was a benefit night for Boomchukka circus, so thanks to all that came, £400 was raised to help their latest mission to Palestine in January.
- Night of the Vaguely Dead, Lost Vagueness - 28th October 2006 - Hey there superstars. Oh My God! What a night, a night to remember. And it was The Night of The Vaguely Dead. KissMyPanties, with usual Access All Areas aplomb ran around all over the place to bring you, yes YOU, the very fucking best pictures ever. Backstage, front stage, on stage, out back and all round the crowd I wandered, camera in hand. And heres 104 highlights from the very best Halloween party you could ever possibly go to. Dont forget the next one on New Years Eve – The Prince and The Pauper. Watch it, freaks.
- Aphrodisiacs - 27th October 2006 - A night of beautiful yet deadly indulgence. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth (as they say in the good book) - but all in a good way - if you see what I mean. And if you don't, then I'll let the pictures speak for me.
- Transmission - 7th October 2006 - Wow, its been almost a year since I last shot at Transmission, Londons premier Transgendered night. So heres a little photoset for old times sake.
- Stamford Hill Gun Club Presents: The Pearl Handled Revolver - 21st September 2006 - Twas a night of flea ridden blues, black rock n roll, primitive jazz, ska and tropicalia courtesy your hosts The Stamford Hill Gun Club DJs. With cabaret from The Laundrettas and live music from The Fabulous Penetrators.
What more do you want, greedy! - The Last Party aka Thames Festival Wrap - 17th September 2006 - The end of the summer, the end of the festival season. Time for one Last Party... before the next round of parties of course. A very happy and tired crew gathered aboard HMS President, stuck fast in the Thames, and who but who was there to get it down in pictures?
- Thames Festival - 16th-17th September 2006 - A weekend of fun a little closer to home with the Thames Festival. So much to shoot and so little time - I ended up concentrating on just a few samples of this huge event. Partying at the Pamper Parlour with the Laundrettas and the Bikini Beach Band, get down to the hoedown with Leonard and Bubbas Delicious Goo Goo Cluster and small becomes big at the Insect Circus.
I also took the opportunity to experiment with different lighting effects - so treat your eyes to something different... - The Ballroom, Lost Vagueness - 1st-3rd September 2006 - In the heady wet Irish autumn, zombie strippers, punk rockers, 50's housewives, Spanish circus stars and an imperial aerialist gathered, among others, in a far flung land (the minibus took ages) to impress their personal visions upon the gathered mass under the silky red roof of the Lost Vagueness Ballroom.
Music was heard, drink was drunk, little sleep was had, clothes were swapped, and washed, and a strange looking girl in a big dress wandered the fields taking photographs.
The nights may be vague but KissMyPanties guarantees 100% clarity - enjoy my lovelies - Beyond The Ballroom, Lost Vagueness - 1st-3rd September 2006 - Stepping beyond the red door of the Ballroom reveals unto you a whole new world.
The travel, the setting up, the canteen, the dormitory, the office; but always the people.
This is beyond the ballroom. This is the life of Lost Vagueness. Run away with me, lets join the circus; you wont want to come back. - The Chapel, Lost Vagueness - Nighttime - 4th-6th August 2006 - No sanctuary of sanctity was this. But a devilish den of high jinks and fine sleaze. The Big Chill got just a touch hotter, Lost Vagueness style.
- The Chapel, Lost Vagueness - Daytime - 4th-6th August 2006 - Putting the moan in to matrimony and a twist to bliss. Truly, this was a family affair, but what families! The KissMyPanties crew go west to capture the Lost Vagueness Chapel in all its holy glory at The Big Chill. Praise be brothers and sinisters.
- Lost Vaguness presents Lost Spice - 14th July 2006 - We danced, we sang, we gave birth - you know its got to be Lost Vagueness. The Carnival Collective brought their special brand of breakbeat samba funk to the stage, spilling out into Hackney Town Hall Square for an impromptu photoshoot afterwards. And in between and around were Badgers, Mexican Wrestlers, The Opera Burlesque, a man eating balloon and vivid proof that pregnancy shouldnt stop anyone having fun... just so long as there is someone around to catch the baby when it drops - from the balcony.
- Vinylla presents Mayhem - 28th May 2006 - Clean boots, law and order for a night in Brightons longest running fetish lounge / dance club.
- The Lost Elephant Ball, Lost Vagueness - 6th May 2006 - wow wow and again...wow! The Lost Vagueness night was all I was expecting and more. A fantastic night of sailors and soliders, frogmen and strongwomen, monsters and mystics, two badgers and a very very thorough troupe of cleaning ladies. A concise cultural history of the world through the eyes of freaks. KMP got access all areas and returned with photos dripping in colour.
If you were there, I was the one in the biggest white dress in the world...it was huge! If you weren't there, then just make sure you're at the next one. The Flickr API returned error code #1: Photoset not found |
